Great
Great, but not having a working toilet at an event with that much to drink isn't ideal.
I also think spacing out the drinks would be better. The Ankara apple was completely overtaken by the Jasmine in the tea before.
Our traditional tasting session will teach you all about different teas & blending herbs, how they are made, best enjoyed & their potential health benefits.
Starting the evening with a warm welcome & a tea-based cocktail or mocktail, you’ll then get the chance to try an exciting selection of tea blends as you learn about the art of tea blending. Later in the evening, our expert Tea Mixologists will help you create three tea blends of your own to take home with you - each designed, named & packed by your very own hands!
What’s more, you’ll get 10% off everything in store all evening, so if you find some new faves you can save whilst topping up your tea cupboard.
Every attendee gets a goody bag to take home that contains some samples of our favourite tea blends & three empty 20g pouches for you to fill with your tea blends, all inside one of our cotton totes.
Hosted in our London Borough store, come along alone or with a group, all are welcome. A perfect gift for a friend who wants to learn all about tea blending, as corporate entertainment or with your team at work and unique hen parties too!
Our Borough store is accessible to wheelchairs with portable a ramp, please ring the bell at door & our Teabirds will pop out to help. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet. If customers in wheelchairs are attending a workshop, please contact 01273 092413 in advance so we can make your event as smooth as possible.
We can tailor our experience to most disabilities, just let us know when booking.
Please note that you must be over 18 to attend the class alone, or be over 14 if accompanied by an adult.
We run our London Borough workshops most Friday nights and Sunday evenings.
It's worth mentioning that London Bridge is the closest tube, follow signs for Borough Market when exiting.
If you're celebrating something, or giving a gift experience why not select one of our wonderful gifting upgrades. A deluxe goodie bag includes all of the items in our complimentary goodie bag plus a Brew, Bake, Sip & Savours: Bird & Blend Tea Recipe Book, a pouch of our local store blend, London Fog Tea.
Or, add a gift voucher for them to spend on the night!
If you are gifting this experience, please choose a date that you think will work, but don't worry if your recipient wants to change the date they can do this easily by contacting our customer experience team via info@birdandblendtea.com or on 01273 325523.
Please Note:
Once booked you will receive an email confirmation and will not receive a ticket through the post.
Due to the popularity of the workshop and the fact they sell out, any changes to your booking must be made 14 days prior to the workshop date.
Unfortunately, if you don’t show up to your workshop and fail to contact us in the 14 days before, we will be unable to re-book you for another date and you will lose your workshop space and your pennies! (which we really don’t want!).

We didn’t think it was good value for money and would hesitate to recommend this - although we love the teas themselves.
What we learned about tea was great, the staff were very nice, funny and knowledgeable. It was great to try lots of different flavours of tea, and learn how to brew them properly and why. This was a great first hour and a half that we thoroughly enjoyed.
In terms of tasting, there was the same amount of tasting as a lock-in event, about 8 teas (20-30ml each) and one sized tea cocktail/mocktail.
However, the tea blending part felt very disorganised and not value for money. After sampling multiple teas during the first part of the session, we were disappointed for the yerba mate and oolong tea base to not be available for the blending, as well as the white tea having run out quickly. The ingredients were not as extensive as the options in the standard bird and blend teas, it seemed very basic and limited to only 10 additions, that it was not possible to be creative or recreate any of the flavours we tried. Quite a few of the ‘additions’ ran out as well - cacao nibs, lemon and orange peel, so we could only take away green/black/hibiscus tea with some cinnamon or coconut. After the high of the first hour, this really brought the mood down. We also were not told about any flavour combinations or anything about what works or doesn’t work for tea blending - it would have been interesting to understand more about how the company comes up with its flavour…
Hi Natalia,
Thanks so much for leaving a review :)
I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with part of the tea blending workshop, I have passed this onto the Store Manager at our Borough store and they have reached out to you by email to see if they can help.
I do hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions. Yours Brew-ly, Claire @ B&B
